The International Court of Justice is set to rule on a request for emergency measures aimed at preventing further acts of violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

The Gambia filed a lawsuit in November accusing Myanmar's military of committing "an ongoing genocide" on the minority group.

More than 700,000 Rohingya fled to neighbouring Bangladesh in the aftermath of the violence three years ago.
