Representatives from across the Americas are coming to Peru for the 8th Summit of the Americas which begins on Friday, but today, the region's top business minds are coming together for the 3rd Business Summit of the Americas. The Business Summit is examining themes related to trade in Latin America and the Caribbean, and particularly trade with China.
According to the former administrator of the Panama Canal, Alberto Aleman, Panama's geographical position makes it an international communication platform and its economy is based primarily on services. This makes it unique among other countries in the region.
The former official also stated that the mutual interests of China, Europe, North America, and Latin America will continue to develop through the construction of infrastructure and through trade.
