President Donald Trump pivoted when asked by a reporter whether the "Send her back" chant at his rally in North Carolina was racist. Instead of answering the question, Trump again criticized the four minority American congresswomen who have been the targets of his recent attacks. "When they call the people of our country and our country garbage, when they hit Israel the way they have hit Israel so hard, so horrible, I think to me, that's a disgrace," Trump said, misrepresenting comments from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Trump took the questions from reporters on the White House lawn on Friday, July 19, before leaving for the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
