Rep. Jim Langevin, D-R.I., pressed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen on President Donald Trump's use of data when talking about a crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. "The facts are actually the opposite," Langevin said, specifically referring to the number of apprehensions at the border, which have gone down. "It's inaccurate, it's deceitful," he added.
Nielsen said the crisis is not just about the numbers -- it's also about how the U.S. system is not equipped to handle large numbers of migrants from vulnerable populations, including women and children. "All of that together is a crisis," she said.
