Rep. Devin Nunes, the ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, likened the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump to a “TV marathon,” saying the “Ukraine hoax” is a “direct to TV sequel” to the Russia hoax, referring to the special counsel’s investigation into whether the Trump campaign coordinated with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Nunes made the comments in his closing statements after Kurt Volker, the former U.S. special envoy to Ukraine, and Tim Morrison, a former White House official who served on the National Security Council, testified on Nov. 19.
