In response to a tweet from President Donald Trump, Jennifer Williams, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, told House lawmakers she does not describe herself as a “Never Trumper” and said she was not engaged in a “presidential attack,” as Trump suggested. In response to a question from Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., Williams said she was surprised by Trump’s tweet. “I was not expecting to be called out by name,” she said. Williams testified on Nov. 19 alongside Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, as part of the public impeachment hearings into Trump.
