House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy called on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to suspend the impeachment inquiry until President Donald Trump is given “the same due process rights” that were given to former presidents Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. McCarthy said the impeachment inquiry is not being handled properly and is keeping lawmakers from focusing on other issues such as prescription drug costs and defense funding.
