Wall Street Stumbles Ahead Of Earnings

According to Reuters, energy shares fell late on Friday jeopardizing the continuation of Wall Street’s five-session rally as investors looked forward to earnings season. With little changing on Friday, traders watched cautiously as energy shares dropped and investors looked ahead to a hopeful increase in profits. The earnings season kicks off next week with Citigroup, JPMorgan, and other large banks. At closing today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 5.97 points to 23,995.95, the S&P 500 lost 0.38 points, falling to 2,596.26 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 14.59 points, or 0.21 percent, to 6,971.48.
