Protests against fuel subsidy cuts announced by President Moreno have been going on for 5 days, so far. Clashes have involved youths and members of #Ecuador’s indigenous communities. More than 350 people have been detained. The president said he will not budge over the fuel subsidy cuts and has imposed a state of emergency after protests became chaotic.

Moreno said that he moved the govt out of the capital #Quito due to mass protests: He blames former president Rafael Correa and Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro for activating a destabilization plan. Correa, in video-call with RT, said only the government and its inept policies are to blame for the turmoil and that the comments were 'an example of the derangement that Moreno has throughout his government.'
