Hundreds of people rallied against NATO outside the White House in Washington DC on Saturday.

Organisations and movements that took part in the rally included Code Pink, Answer Coalition and Veterans for Peace.

"We are here to say that whether it's the people of Iran, the people of Venezuela or anywhere around the world where the US is waging economic warfare we say 'No to sanctions, not to war,'" said Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin.

Saturday's rally took place a few days ahead of the Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers that will take place at the US Department of State on April 3 and 4.
