Dozens of protesters rallied in front of the Westwood Federal Building in Los Angeles on Saturday to demand the impeachment of US President Donald Trump. The rally was met with counter-protesters who support Trump.
Anti-Trump protesters were holding placards reading "Impeach Trump" and "How did a rapist become president?" A woman was seen dressed with pages of the Mueller report and holding a "Russia succeeded beyond its wildest dreams" sign.
Mary Smith, who was among the anti-Trump protesters, said that she wants "the world to know that we are horrified by this orange monster who is in the highest office in the land and we want the world to know, basically I want to say we are sorry, we are sorry this happened. He is an abomination, he is a liar, he is a cheat, he represents the worst."
Another protester, Jake Murray, stated that "it's discouraging to see that we have a president who basically molested a bunch of women."
Some scuffles erupted as Trump supporters rallied in a counter-protest across the street. One of them, Kira Innis, praised the US President by saying: "We are experiencing the best economic surplus in our country's history. We are seeing more blacks in the workforce participating than we had in history."
Dozens of sister pro-impeachment rallies took place in Southern California on the same day.
