Amazon warehouse workers staged a walkout and protested outside the Amazon fulfilment centre in Shakopee, Minnesota, on Monday, which took place during Amazon Prime Day, an annual shopping day for Amazon Prime subscribers.
Protesters can be seen marching and waving placards outside the Amazon complex.
Strike Prep Chairman Michael Russo addressed the protesters, thanking them for "the bravery that it takes to walk off the job like you did."
"And we're going to continue fighting together until we all get the pay and working conditions we deserve," he added.
According to the event's Facebook page, the protest was called for to "push on the corporate giant to provide safe and reliable jobs, show respect for workers and their right to organize for better working conditions, open up opportunities for advancement for the predominantly East African workforce, and take concrete action to address pressing issues like climate change."
