Mexican boxer Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez expressed his happiness after taking the WBO light-heavyweight title from Russian Sergey Kovalev with an 11th round knockout in Las Vegas on Saturday.
The stunning KO in front of 13,000 fans packed into the MGM means Canelo is now a four-division world champion.
"We knew it would be a difficult fight, a complicated fight. It was harder than we expected but thank God it all went well. We had patience, the patience that was necessary for this fight," Canelo said.
"We thought it would have been the body but it was not easy at all to get to Kovalev's body, it was unpredictable. He is a great fighter," Canelo added.
