According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, the US Commerce Department said that it is adding Huawei Technologies and 70 of its affiliates to a so-called "Entity List," a move likly to make it difficult for the telecom giant to purchase parts and components from US companies. US officials reportedly said the decision would also make it difficult for Huawei to sell some products due to the company's reliance on US suppliers. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross reportedly said in a statement that president Donald Trump supported the decision to “prevent American technology from being used by foreign owned entities in ways that potentially undermine U.S. national security or foreign policy interests.”
