U.S. Navy Hospital Ship Leaves New York City

The United States' navy hospital ship Comfort left New York City on Thursday after completing its mission to help relieve the city's hospital system overwhelmed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Comfort, one of two hospital ships with the U.S. Navy, is staffed with some 1,200 crew members, with 1,000 beds, 12 fully-equipped operating rooms, eight intensive care unit beds, and four radiology suites.
