On Wednesday, the US federal flood insurance program estimates that it will make $11 billion in payments, in wake of the flooding in Texas caused by Hurricane Harvey. Just weeks ago, the hurricane ripped through Texas, including Houston, flooding hundreds of thousands of homes, and displacing more than 30,000 people. The program’s administrator Roy Wright, said that homeowners will be able to receive their payouts without completing additional paperwork, in order to make those payments quickly.
