Hundreds of demonstrators from the left and right wings of British politics gathered in London to protest on Saturday.

Some protesters participated in the anti-austerity march organised by the People's Assembly Against Austerity, while another group of protesters participated in a pro-Brexit march.

According to the police, leading pro-Brexit campaigner James Goddard, who had declared Saturday a day of action with protests planned in a number of cities across the country, was arrested ahead of the event "on suspicion of public order offences committed on 7 January."

The protesters, reportedly, marched on Westminster, later blocking Westminster Bridge as speakers addressed the crowd.
