Hundreds of workers from Swindon's Honda factory marched through the southwestern English town on Saturday to protest the planned shutdown of the car factory in 2021.

The march was called on by the Unite Union and saw rally-goers marching, waving flags and chanting.

Close to 3,500 people will lose their jobs following the closure of the plant which is the only Honda factory in the EU producing close to 150,000 vehicles per year.

While the Japanese car manufacture has attributed the shutdown to restructuring plans, many have blamed complications caused by the Brexit process.
