The number of protesters calling for a second referendum to have hit the streets of London on Saturday has climbed to one million, according to a tweet by the People's Vote UK organisers.

The protesters marched from Park Lane to Parliament Square, chanting slogans and holding banners calling for a second referendum on Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union after a tumultuous week that saw the EU agree to an extension of the Brexit deadline.

“I think we'll get either a Peoples' Vote or she'll revoke Article 50. She's [UK Prime Minister Theresa May] got no choice now,” one pro-EU protester remarked.
