British lawmakers left Parliament amid pro and anti-Brexit protests on Thursday in London, after voting to seek an extension to Article 50, which would push Brexit back to June 30.

Footage shows leading politicians such as Opposition Leader Jeremy Corbyn, Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond and State Secretary Michael Gove leaving in their cars as protesters are gathered in front of Westminster Palace.

Parliament voted against the possibility of leaving without a deal on Wednesday, but the government has been unable to find an agreement which would satisfy both the House and EU negotiators.

As the Brexit deadline of March 29 approached, the House voted on Thursday to seek an extension until June 30th.
