The Bank of Uganda says mobile transactions in the country have gone up by 34 percent. The value of cash moved through mobile money systems grew to more than 12 billion U-S dollars in 2016-that's up from 9 billion in 2015. According to the Bank of Uganda, the mobile money service is also improving the outreach of financial institutions across both rural and urban areas. CGTN's Michael Baleke has more from Kampala.
