A new study reveals that Type 2 diabetics may be over-testing their blood sugar levels.

University of Michigan researchers say that 14% of non-insulin dependent diabetics are checking unnecessarily.

Many patients needlessly test daily to see how well exercise, dieting and their medicine regimens are actually working.

Once patients establish the proper dosage of medication that don't cause a blood sugar spike, however, they no longer need daily testing.
