The Turkish navy on Monday launched one of its biggest military drills.

The drills will last until May 25.

The exercise, SeaWolf 2019, covers the Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Black Seas.

131 warships, 57 warplanes, 33 helicopters and 25,900 military personnel are taking part in the drill.

The drill aims to test its home-made weapon systems, naval artilleries and other military means.

The units will carry out strategic and operational exercises based on scenarios of crises and war.
