Turkey has agreed to a 'pause' in its military operation in northern Syria. Under the agreement, Ankara will halt fighting for five days to allow Kurdish-led forces to withdraw. The deal was struck between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US Vice President Mike Pence and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Washington says it would impose more sanctions if Turkey fails to comply. Part of Turkey's plan is to set up a 'safe zone' in northern Syria to resettle up to two million Syrian refugees currently in Turkey. DW's Julia Hahn has been speaking to some of those who could be affected by the move.
