Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited the fire-ravaged Notre Dame cathedral in Paris on Wednesday alongside the cathedral's rector, Patrick Chauvet, and French Culture Minister Franck Riester, where they toured the interior's extensive damage from the massive blaze that burned through the structure in mid-April.

Trudeau is in Paris to take part in a Christchurch Call to Action in the fight against extremism and online violence, some two months after an attack at a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, left 51 dead.
