Britain's lawmakers have returned from their winter break and restarted their marathon debate on leaving the European Union in 79 days. Widely regarded as Britain's most significant debate in decades, UK Prime Minister Theresa May has been making last-ditch attempts to save her deal from defeat. She already postponed the vote once in December, when it became clear she would lose unless extra reassurances from the EU were agreed. Now MPs will get a second chance to give their view on the government's Brexit deal and on next week's vote, which May says will definitely go ahead.
