Tesla Named New General Counsel

AutoNews.com reports that Tesla Inc. General Counsel Todd Maron will be leaving his position. Tesla has announced that Dane Butswinkas will step into the position. Butswinkas will report directly to company founder and CEO, Elon Musk and oversee Tesla’s legal and government relations team. Butswinkas made a name for himself when he represented former Jefferies & Co. trader Jesse Litvak, who was convicted twice of defrauding customers by lying about the prices of mortgage-backed securities in trades.
