Automotive News reports that Tesla has sent a team of investigators to examine video footage that shows a Tesla explode. In the video clip which was initially featured on Chinese social media, a parked Tesla Model S car explodes without any prompting or evidence of interference. The video is time-stamped on Sunday evening and has been widely shared on China's Twitter-like Weibo. In it, viewers can see the parked EV emit smoke and burst into flames seconds later. A video purportedly of the aftermath showed a line of three cars completely destroyed.
