A survivor was found in an air pocket inside the capsized Tanzanian ferry on the third day of a grim recovery operation.
Four navy divers heard sounds that suggested signs of life early on Saturday and were able to pull the man out of the ship and rush him to hospital. His condition was not immediately known.
The death toll from the disaster has passed 200, the rescue brings the number of survivors to 41.
