The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continues its offensive in the Hama countryside in north-western Syria on Wednesday, after securing the Huwayz area.
The Syrian government forces reportedly established control of the entire Huwayz area, claiming to have reached the strategic Mount Zawiya, a highland region in the Idlib Governorate.
Footage shows smoke billowing in the distance from purported SAA artillery fire and soldiers loyal to the government in the area.
On camera, Syrian field commander Ali Taha appeared to confirm those reports. "The area peripheral is completely secured. Al-Huwayz is completely secured," he said.
