The Syrian Arab Army began an offensive on the militant held town of Kafr Naboudeh in Hama province on Wednesday.

Footage filmed by Ruptly on Wednesday revealed the intensity of fighting, with the Syrian army using military helicopters, fighter jets and artillery against militant positions.

Clouds of thick smoke could be seen rising as militant strongholds were targeted and destroyed.

According to reports by the Syrian media outlet SANA, the Syrian army also heavily shelled militant positions in the town of Qal'at Al-Madiq in the north-western countryside of Hama on Wednesday.
