SOT, Vladimir Zolotukhin, Representative of the Centre for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria (Russian): “On March 8, militants fired at a convoy in the village of Mlekh, where 300 families were sent to the southern exit from Eastern Ghouta. The column came under shelling a kilometre from the exit, where the relatives of Ghouta residents were heading to Mlekh. Three cars were burned, information about the victims is being clarified. Later, mortar fire was started by the militants and at the very exit, where the relatives of refugees were, as well as a group of Russian and western journalists. All managed to be evacuated promptly, there are no casualties.”
