Sudan's military says it's suspending negotiations with the opposition coalition for three days.

The head of the military council said the decision was made because of an "escalation" by protesters who continue blocking roads.

But protesters say a faction of the military opened fire on them when they refused to remove barricades at the site of the sit-in, wounding several in the crowd.
