Sudan's foreign minister has told Al Jazeera that all political prisoners who were detained last month will be released.

More than 80 have already been freed, including prominent opposition leaders.

Sudan had faced international pressure to release the detainees, who were arrested after anti-government protests about the rising cost of food.
