A Guardia Civil van believed to be taking former Venezuelan spy chief Hugo Carvajal to jail was seeing leaving the National Court in Madrid after an extradition hearing following his arrest, Saturday.

Head of military intelligence under the late Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, Carvajal was reportedly arrested by Spanish police on a United States warrant, where he is wanted on drug trafficking chages.

According to reports, Carvajal arrived in Madrid on March 18, using a Venezuelan passport under a false name.
