Spain's former monarch King Juan Carlos I was one of the most high-profile guests to be spotted arriving at tennis star Rafael Nadal's wedding to his long-term girlfriend Xisca Perello in Mallorca on Saturday.
The couple wed at a private ceremony at La Fortelza, a historic fort near Pollenca, where Real Madrid star Gareth Bale also reportedly married his fiance earlier in the year.
Among the reported attendees were Portugal football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and singer Enrique Iglesias.
The event had been planned in secret with no media access. Soldiers, police officers and private security details had the fort on lockdown to protect the high-profile guests and a no-fly zone was also reportedly in place above the fort to prevent prying eyes.
Nadal, who is considered an all-time great in tennis circles, had been with Perello for 14 years before tying the knot on Saturday.
