Hundreds of people lined up outside Finestrelles shopping centre on the outskirts of Barcelona in the early hours of Friday, as the e-commerce giant AliExpress opened its second physical shop in Europe.
The first 1,000 visitors received lottery tickets from AliExpress, giving them a chance to receive generous gifts, from household appliances and mobile phones to motorcycles.
The company opened its first European physical store in Madrid's suburb in August. Back then, some shoppers waited for two nights in a row at the doors of Xanadu centre for gifts and deals from the company.
AliExpress stores function as showrooms with products still needed to be ordered online.
