Footage published on Monday shows the makeshift hospital interior set up inside the Madrid Fair building (IFEMA) for coronavirus patients.
According to the IFEMA director Antonio Zapatero, "during these eight days, we have already made 1,250 hospitalisations, 485 discharges, and 800 patients remain hospitalised. These are the figures that, I guess, for eight days of a hospital's life are really significant".
According to the latest figures compiled from global reports by Johns Hopkins University, Spain has reported 849 deaths of the patients infected with the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total amount of fatalities to 8,189 people. 94,417 people have been tested positive, 5,607 of them were hospitalised at the intensive therapy units across the country and 19,259 people have recovered from the disease.
