FC Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde said he was pleased with a goalless draw at bottom side Huesca after making wholesale changes to the starting eleven on Saturday.

"Obviously we like to win all the time. But it's also true that there were special circumstances around this game," explained Valverde.

He took the view that the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Manchester United on Tuesday and an 11-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid at the top of La Liga meant it was the "right moment" to make changes.
