SpaceX successfully launched its Falcon 9 rocket into to orbit on Wednesday, carrying supplies to the ISS. Unfortunately the first-stage booster, that was scheduled to land back at the launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida, failed the approach and made a water landing off the coast.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk tweeted, "Grid fin hydraulic pump stalled, so Falcon landed just out to sea. Appears to be undamaged & is transmitting data. Recovery ship dispatched."
