The South Korean president says he could seek exemptions of the UN sanctions on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Speaking at a New Year's conference on Tuesday, Moon Jae-in said such a move would enhance inter-Korean relations and help restart nuclear talks between Pyongyang and Washington.
