Canada beat France 5-2 in Group A of the IIHF World Championship in the Slovakian city of Kosice on Thursday. It's the third straight win for the north american team which started the tournament losing to Finland but then beat Great Britain and Slovakia.

"We'll enjoy this win and start thinking tomorrow about the next game, you know get ready. You know, we need to keep winning, you know get well-positioned in the standings," said Canadian player Sean Couturier, after the game.

Canada's next opponent will be Germany which is leading the group with 12 points after four wins on Saturday, while France will face off against home team Slovakia on Friday.
