Ilia Novikov, lawyer of Ukrainian prisoner Nikolai Karpyuk, stated that Ukrainian detainees left Moscow’s Lefortovo detention facility on Friday, to take part in a reported exchange with Russia.

Footage filmed outside the facility shows a police van leaving with unidentified people on board.

The rumours of a reported prisoner swap started early on Friday morning, with General Prosecutor of Ukraine announcing that Ukrainian prisoners were already on the way home.

The office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy later rejected the reports, saying that negotiations are still ongoing.
