Three alleged so-called Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIS/ISIL) supporters were killed by security forces and one person arrested in Dagestan allegedly confessed that he had ties with so-called IS recruiters in video footage released by the Russian National Anti-terrorism Committee on Saturday.
According to the Russian National Anti-terrorism Committee, one man was arrested and another three were killed during the operation, which was held in the Dagestan Republic on Friday. The three killed alleged bandits were reportedly involved in IS recruiting activities. As the National Anti-terrorism Committee reports, they assisted the group of bandits in Kaspiysk, which was destroyed during the anti-terrorism operation in 2017.
On Friday, a group of people attempted to attack the police on the Kavkaz federal highway in the Dagestan region.
