More than 13,600 servicemen, women and cadets took part in the Moscow Victory Day Parade on the Red Square on Thursday, marking the 74th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

Apart from military divisions, cadet division of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation named after Alexander Nevsky and division of University of Moscow Ministry of Internal Affairs also marched on the square.

Among spectators of the parade were actor Steven Seagal and former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Along with the soldiers from different divisions of the Russian Armed Forces, more than 130 pieces of military equipment took part in Moscow's Victory Day Parade. The traditional military aircraft flyover was cancelled at the last minute due to thick clouds over the Russian capital.

Hundreds of commemorative events are to be held in Russia and around the globe to mark the anniversary of the official capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet forces in 1945.
