Game of Thrones actor Iwan Rheon, who portrayed the sadistic Ramsay Bolton on the HBO fantasy drama, said that he was happy with the way his character exited the series, speaking during an interview with RT in Saint Petersburg on Friday.
"I thought it was great the way we did it. I was happy with my death. You know, it was a pretty epic death," the Welsh actor said.
"I think he needed to sort of be gotten rid of in order to install the Starks back to create that drama and the intrigue between Sansa, Daenerys, and John Snow," he added.
Speaking about the show's finale and who he believes should rule the Seven Kingdoms, he said that "coming into this series, there was no way around it being Daenerys, but now I think she has lost it, man. I don't know, but I kind of saw that coming a while back."
Rheon's character was memorably torn apart by starving dogs in Season 6. The final episode of the epic show will hit the HBO network on May 19.
However, not everyone is happy with the final season of the show, with almost one million disgruntled fans signing a petition demanding the entire last season be remade.
