Moscow region court has delayed the hearing on an appeal by the Israeli-American citizen Naama Issachar on Thursday.
Issachar was sentenced to seven-years in prison after she was arrested in Moscow with marijuana in her luggage.
The judge agreed to postpone the hearing till next week after Issachar's attorneys asked to reschedule the hearing so that Issachar can attend the proceedings in person.
Issachar’s mother Yafa showed her optimism due to the media attention the case has received, saying that “In Israel, the politicians and the government listen to the press even Netanyahu listen, I am sure it’s the same thing in Moscow.”
Naama Issachar's lawyer Vadim Kryukov stressed that his client is innocent, asking the Russian President to use his authority to grant her a pardon.
