Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov participates in the 62nd session of the UN Commissions on Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna, Austria, on Thursday, March 14.

The 62nd Session is expected to bring together various political leaders of member states, among them: Bolivian President Evo Morales, the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, as well as ministers of foreign affairs from Guatemala, the Philippines, Sudan and Venezuela.

The session is expected to discuss including strengthening forensic detection capabilities for synthetic drugs; and the control of precursors used in the illicit manufacture of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
