American, Hungarian and Slovak units took part in 'Tobruq Legacy-19' - the largest multinational NATO Surface Based Air Defence exercise in Europe - in Ustka, northwestern Poland, on Monday.

American soldiers could be seen firing the FIM-92 Stinger Man-Portable Air-Defence System (MPADS), which operates as an infrared homing surface-to-air missile, as they took part in the exercises with Slovak and Hungarian units. The exercise also saw forces from the UK, Poland and Romania take part, as well as a joint German-Dutch element.

Tobruq Legacy-19 (TOLY 19) began in Poland on Monday, June 3 and finishes on Wednesday, June 19. The goal of the exercise is to build interoperability in NATO's multinational allied air defence component.
