Physicists have found a very large chamber deep inside the Great Pyramid of Giza using the breakdown products of cosmic rays.

The pyramid is dense, so multiple teams used scanners at different locations to avoid causing any damage to the structure.

Muon detectors track and measure muons, or tiny particles that are created when cosmic rays interact with the Earth’s upper atmosphere.

According to, the space is huge, over 98 feet long.

Archaeologists suggest it was built just to take some weight off the structure in the Gallery.
